I'm starting a little late, so today will be a little quicky. But let's face it--quickies are the best!
My letter today is A, and I will be using the word Alpha.
The one thing I try to emphasis in all my words, is that deep, true, all the way to the bone devotion between my hero and heroine. I love a man that claims his woman. He knows what he wants, and he grabs the bull by the horns. Although, I usually have a stubborn, hard-headed heroine that will fight tooth and nail to stay true to her independence, I also like to show the side of her that wants to be owned, heart and soul by a man.
It takes a special kind of man to handle a woman like that, and so, that's where my Alpha boys come into play. They don't give up. They don't sit back and wait. They rush it, take it, claim it, and keep it. They do whatever it takes, no matter how hard it is, how much they fight, how determined his girl is to push him away, he never will. Ever. She is his.
A lot of readers think that when a woman submits, it's a weakness. I, on the other hand, find this inaccurate. A strong woman needs a strong man. A man to call her on her shit, guide her where she belongs. That's not weakness, that's commitment. And just because a man is an Alpha, that doesn't mean he's not soft on the inside, otherwise, he wouldn't care about protecting, loving, and caring for that girl of his.
So, that's my take on Alpha relationships. Stop by tomorrow for letter B! Let's see what I can pull out of my sleeve!! Be sure to check out the hop!
