Today we're talking about what we're thankful for.
This has been a year full of ups and downs. Sometimes it's hard to remember that there are things to be thankful for, especially when loved ones have been lost, and others suffering or worrying through health issues, financial issues, and the like.
That is where I feel thankful, though. I've been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of others when they were needed. I've seen friends come to the aid of others, myself included, when they were in need. This is what life is all about. Friendship and Family. The building blocks that hold us together. My sisterhood of friends is a pretty spectacular one and I love them all with all my heart.
I'm personally incredibly lucky to have met new friends this year that have become priceless in my heart. The support and encouragement, the sisterhood and the love. I'm thankful to add more treasures to my collection of friends.
I'm also thankful to have a job, albeit not one I particularly love, but it pays my bills, feeds my family, and provides stability to my family. Two years ago we didn't have these these things, so this is a HUGE blessing.
This past year has also marked my leap into the land of published fiction, and I'm incredibly thankful to all my friends and contemporaries for the help I've had along the way. Checking this off my bucket list is a big deal for me, and I'm thankful to every reader, blog, author and friend that has taken these steps with me.
And of course, I'm thankful that my family is close and even though my mom continues to struggle health wise, she has us to help her. I'm thankful for my cats to cuddle, that my dog is still healthy enough to bring me his dish when I come home from work every day, and that no matter how jacked up your hair cut is, hair grows back.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Enjoy your family, food, friends and furry creatures!
