Hey y'all! So today we are celebrating our six month anniversary and we have so much going on!! I hope you will join our facebook event, where you'll get to meet the authors, win fabulous prizes and find out about a bunch of great new reads!

We're doing something a little differently for the blog hop today, and although I am not officially participating, I did my post like a good girl!

So... Here are my top ten romances.

movies

Picture
Now Voyager Bette Davis and Paul Heinreid It's Bette Davis and that's enough. This is my favorite of her films. She's just a fucking rock star and she always deserves the man.
Picture
Falling in Love Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep Even though you know from the first moment they meet that it is going to be a beautiful ugly journey, you root for them. The passion and chemistry and love is so true that it just has to happen. Plus, young DeNiro and stuff.

Picture
Reality Bites Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke I love this movie because I can relate to this love between these characters. I've been in love with this guy so many times in my life. This is my life. This idiot.

Picture
All That Heaven Allows Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman Again, my favorite type of love story. Against all odds. He loves her, gives her the space she needs to understand the relationship, and in the end loves her enough to let her go. When she realizes that she loves her regardless of the people in her life and the opinions of others, it's a brilliant moment.

Picture
Some Kind of Wonderful Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson, Lea Thompson This is my very favorite lil love triangle movie ever. Because Watts should always get the boy.
Picture
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison The Captain is just too fucking sexy for his captain hat and I would never wake up if he was hanging out in my dreams. Nuff said.
Picture
An Affair to Remember Deborah Kerr and Carey Grant Just... fuck. Cary Grant. The scene in the theater, the end scene. Dead and dead. Sads for days. Beautiful

Picture
Splendor in The Grass Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty This movie torments me in the best of ways. The way these two love each other is so pure, so consuming and watching them fall apart is just about the most heartbreaking thing I have ever read or watched, and this story, I have done both. The end scene causes me to cry for hours afterward. Just ... gah.

Picture
Untamed Heart Christian Slater, Marisa Tomei Just the sweetest saddest movie. It was such a tender genuine romance. I watch and cry every time.

Picture
The Quiet Man Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne There is so much about this film that I love, but the moment he first sees her--the look on his face is pure and total love at first sight. He has to have her, no matter how big of a fight she puts up. Not to mention that John Wayne is forever the man I most dream of kissing. Have you seen these movies? The man kissed the hell out of these gals. Bitch down! Knees are goo!
