'Do you like to read romance novels? Wouldn't you like to know more about your favorite authors? Well you came to the right place! Join the writers of Romance Weekly as we go behind the scenes of our books and tell all..... About our writing of course! Every week we'll answer questions and after you've enjoyed the blog on this site we'll direct you to another. So come back often for a thrilling ride! Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box. Welcome back everyone! I haven't been as diligent with my posting as of late, but I am back and ready to roll! Today's questions come from the amazingballs Mrs. Jo Richardson! If you came via Susan Peterson Wisnewski http://spwwrites.com/blog, WELCOME! Probably not as much as I should be. I do try to write something every day, no matter what. I carry my notebooks with me everywhere, so I at least jot down ideas, tidbits about characters, or anything else that helps keep track of details. I think it is. I find when I take "breaks" my mojo takes an incredible hit. I'm fresher and learn more about my characters and writing when I keep it flowing. I think it's bullshit. Even when I'm not putting the words to paper or clicking keys, I'm writing. In my head, stories are constantly stirring and getting themselves ready to be written. I am a firm believer that writers need to LIVE and experience life and sometimes that doesn't allow for sitting down to write words down on paper or doc. A few things before you go! Congrats to Kim Handysides! She just sent out her debut contemporary romance, titled "Stolen Kiss" to the editors this week! Be sure to keep your eyes out for this one! And Leslie Hachtel just signed a contract for "Captain's Captive" with Black Opal books! Congrats! Loved that writing graphic. I stole it. I hope that is okay. Great insight about living and experiencing life. Absolutely spot on. That's where the ideas come from.

I find if I break too long I have trouble getting going again, not because I don't enjoy writing, it is just easier to make excuses not too when I give myself permission to take a break :) Great answers!!!

You're completely right! Even when not writing, just thinking about it and plotting out all helps towards it :D
