Do you like to read romance novels? Wouldn’t you like to know more about your favorite authors? Well you came to the right place! Join the writers of Romance Weekly as we go behind the scenes of our books and tell all….. About our writing of course! Every week we’ll answer questions and after you’ve enjoyed the blog on this site we’ll direct you to another. So come back often for a thrilling ride! Happy Tuesday! So, this is my first week joining this amazing group of romance writers on this blog hop, and I'm pretty excited to get started! This weeks questions come from author J J Devine. 1.When someone finds out you’re an author, how do youhandle the statement, “I have a story you should write”?My answer is almost always, "Oh yeah?" Everything has something to say. Everyone has a story. To dismiss anything to me is arrogant. When I write, there is a bit and piece of someone I know, or something I've seen, heard, done. Every one of them. So although I don't think I am up to the job of writing someone's life story, or their fantasy, I listen because it may flip a switch that can take me down a road toward something. #2 Do you write what you read? For the most part, yes. I do. I read a lot of contemporary romance, and that's what I write. But, my favorite genre is historical romance, and I do not write that. Yet. One day, I hope. #3 People often mistake the lifestyle of a writer as glamorous, give us the scoop, what about your lifestyle would shock your readers?I'm not sure what would shock them, but my lifestyle is certainly not glamorous in any way, shape or form. I'm a fucking hot mess. I live paycheck to paycheck, claw, bite, maim and lie to get time to myself to actually write, and most of the time, I'm too tired to do any sort of actual "living." So yeah... the life of a writer, at least a newbie indie like me, pretty much looks like chaos and stress. So, yeah... there you have it! Thanks for stopping by. Go check out : Mishka Jenkins https://awriterslifeformeblog.wordpress.com/ to find out what she has to share! Also, follow the other writers at #lovechatwrite ! See ya next week!!
Stay badass, ~xo Jami d. xo~

*GUSHING* So, I am so very excited, and so damn honored to be a part of this blog tour for the release of Cursed be the Wicked by J.R. Richardson! Not only is she one of my very favorite writers, but she is also one of my very favorite people. I've had the pleasure of reading her work for years, and the giddiness i have for her debut novel is just out of this world. She's amazing. Her characters are always so charismatic, and her stories are the kind of stories that stick to your bones and never leave you. Ever. I'm lucky enough to have this book in my hands, and yet, not lucky enough to have had a free damn moment to read all of it yet. But, I will tell you, I'm about halfway in and I'm already so damn smitten and absorbed... come back this weekend for the full review! Congrats Jo! I adore you to bits. No one deserves this more than you! ABOUT THE BOOK Cooper Shaw lives his life under a pen name and enjoys the anonymity it provides during his journeys across the globe as a seasoned writer for a travel magazine. When his job lands him in his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts to cover the famous Festival of the Dead, he soon realizes that he can’t stay invisible forever as he faces ghosts from a past he’s been trying to forget ever since he left. The city holds nothing but bad memories for Coop until he meets a quirky young woman with an old soul and curious insights by the name of Finnley Pierce. While she acts as his tour guide through a town he thought he knew, Finn helps him unearth the truth of his childhood and might even begin to open up his heart. By unraveling the mystery of his father’s murder, Coop may finally accept who he is, where he came from, and perhaps even realize what he wants for his future. LINKS: |
